Anti-Slavery Week: What is Modern Slavery and How Can I Help?

Event details

Date: 17 October 2024

Time: 6pm - 7pm

Location: Online Event

For Modern Slavery Week 2024, we'll be running a talk & awareness raising session - sharing information on what modern slavery is, the different forms it can take, and the signs to look out for.

If you're interested in learning more about modern slavery, join our free introductory session!

Medaille Trust supports and empowers survivors of modern slavery, trafficking and exploitation. We do this in a number of ways, from offering safe accommodation, to offering support both in our safehouses and out in the community on our Moving on Projects. Our work also includes advocacy and awareness raising in the UK as well as an entrepreneurship academy in Albania, which provides meaningful alternatives to those who may otherwise be at risk of exploitation. All our work embodies a commitment to personalised support, recognising the dignity and agency of our service users and empowering them on a path to a life that is free from slavery and exploitation.

We'll also be discussing volunteering opportunities and how you can get involved in the fight against modern slavery.

This is an online session, and will require a laptop or computer with good internet access. We will be using Microsoft Teams - meeting links will be sent once you've booked your tickets. For more information and to book tickets, see our Eventbrite link below:
