We are inviting both Catholic and Anglican Religious to join us for a 1-day conference getting reacquainted with the issues of Modern Slavery, as well as who we are and what we do. We have all witnessed the change Religious can make when they come together united by a common goal, so we sincerely hope you can join us to think about what you and your congregation can do but also how we can all work together, united to restore dignity to those who have been victims and ensure they do not fall back into exploitation.
Join Dani Wardman (CEO), Sr Jane Maltby RSCJ (Chair) and Amanda Francis (Trustee) to reflect on the current landscape of Modern Slavery, what the recent political changes mean for Medaille and similar charities, information about Medaille services and our victims and why our work is so important as well as what you can do to help victims of modern slavery from small changes you can make to supporting our work.

You may have heard Pope Francis' urgent call to take action earlier this year to "mobilize all our resources in combating trafficking and restoring full dignity to those who have been its victims". Pope Francis has been urging all faiths to unite against modern slavery, but he has consistently appealed to Catholic Religious Communities, knowing your legacy of making meaningful change to the most marginalised and vulnerable.
The staff and Trustees of Medaille look forward to welcoming you, we have held the event purposely during Anti-Slavery Week (14th-20th October) and would like to give some time to looking at where things are 10 years on from the Joint Declaration of Religious Leaders Against Modern Slavery 2014.
