Dear Supporter

Keeping the Doors Open - Urgent Appeal from our Safe Houses

The coronavirus pandemic is changing life for everyone, and it’s in such times of crisis that communities come together to help each other.  Sadly, it is also a time when vulnerable people are more susceptible to trafficking and the harder life gets, the more exploitation thrives.

Our doors remain open to people whose lives have been devastated by modern slavery.  Their safety is our priority and our amazing team is working tirelessly to provide the specialist support victims of modern slavery desperately need on their journeys to becoming survivors.

Providing for the social, emotional and spiritual needs of victims of modern slavery is vital to their recovery, yet it costs money.  Like many charities in the UK today, we’re having to rethink how we engage with our supporters and look for alternative ways to raise the urgent funds we need.  Due to the latest lockdown, our movements are of course restricted in order to protect our communities, and as such we are now unable to speak at events and talks that have become so vital to our fundraising.

The opportunity to use digital methods has never been so important and we’d like to invite you to follow us across several social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn) and keep up to date with our news.

We’re also asking if you will donate £10 to help us support those who have suffered the trauma of human trafficking and to make sure it doesn’t happen to them again.

You can support us through our website,, or by texting 10FREEDOM to 70450 to donate £10.  Your text will cost £10 plus one standard rate message and you’ll be opting in to hear more about our work via SMS.  If you’d like to give £10 but do not wish to receive marketing communications, text 10FREEDOMNOINFO to 70450.

Thank you for your continued support at this difficult time to support our vulnerable clients and I hope that you, your family and friends stay safe and well.

With best wishes

Garry Smith
