Name: Babette Clarke
Role: Modern slavery support worker
When did you join Medaille Trust? 2017
One challenge during lockdown: Not being able to see friends or boyfriend or family! I will be giving everyone big hugs soon I hope.
Highlight at Medaille Trust: Working alongside foreign and UK police on raids and seeing the successful prosecution of traffickers after!! And bumping into old clients who are flourishing after leaving our care, having them call and say they have achieved a life goal!.. to many to put in this bio!!
Life before Medaille Trust/What did you do before: I joined Medaille fresh out of uni after volunteering to support local asylum seekers.
Interesting fact: I’m currently studying a Masters at SOAS in Gender and Law.
Children/Married: Mum to a growing collection of house plants during lock down.
One place you would like to visit? Headed straight to Italy after lock down for some glorious sun and a belly full of Pasta.
Hobby/Activity outside of Medaille: I love reading, running and making a mess in the kitchen baking or cooking something yummy.
