As an Anti-Slavery Envoy you will deliver awareness raising talks on modern slavery (pre-prepared by the Community Engagement Coordinator), distribute Medaille Trust printed materials, and fundraise to support our work (including occasional sale of supplied items).
The purpose of each talk targets will be agreed in advance.
The post holder will help achieve Medaille Trust's donation target and explore leads for local and regional fundraising opportunities. Much of our work received Government funding, but we want to do more than the minimum we are required to do. We try to go the extra mile and provide more support and assistance to give our clients the best opportunity to recover from their trauma and rebuild their lives.
Public speaking experience and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience is essential for this role. The post holder must also have experience of fundraising.
This position is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
The ability to drive with a valid licence with use of own vehicle insured for business purposes is desirable.
