Sleep in Worker, Thanet

SALARY:    £19,344 per annum (48 hours which equals 12 waking hours)
    £14,508 per annum (36 hours which equals 9 waking hours)
HOURS:    Sleep in shifts to cover 12 hours, 9pm-9am with waking periods
    of 9pm-11pm and 8am-9am
    2 positions, 1 x 48 hours (4 nights) and 1 x 36 hours (3 nights) 
LOCATION:     Thanet    

As the Sleep In Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to potential victims of modern slavery in the service and their dependents.

You will use the internal database for logging service users’ support and undertake daily duties to ensure the smooth running of the service. 

Additionally you will undertake assessments of service users in accordance with service guidelines and explain house rules and service user agreements to all new service users, using interpreters where necessary.

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent and the ability to work within a ‘risk assessed’ environment is essential. 

You must be available to work weekends and bank holidays, on a rota basis.

This role is restricted for females under    the Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act   2010 and is subject to ongoing satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service checks. 

The ability to drive with a valid licence with use of own vehicle insured for business purposes is essential.
