Volunteer advert - Activities Volunteer (Moving On Project) - Manchester

The Manchester Hub currently runs open (drop-in) sessions every week and these include social and wellbeing activities, as well as providing advice, information and signposting. As a volunteer you will work with staff and other volunteers at the Manchester Hub to support clients attending drop-ins and group sessions and themed activities. 

The role will include:

• A friendly face for clients, welcoming them to the hub
• Organising teas/coffees
• Helping to tidy up
• Supporting and engaging with activities in the hub
• Taking part in regular supervision and support
• Regularly attend volunteer meetings and attend training as and when required, to work within agreed professional boundaries at all times.

The role would suit:

• Someone who is friendly, kind, empathetic, non-judgemental and willing to learn. This role requires a regular commitment (to be agreed between the volunteer and a coordinator).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge and understanding of human trafficking issues or willingness to learn.
• An understanding of the importance of professional boundaries in the role.

Volunteers must be over the age of 18.
