Volunteer Support Worker (Moving On Project) - Manchester
You will work alongside the Outreach Caseworker to compliment the support for survivors and co-deliver practical and emotional support.
The role will include:
•To work alongside the caseworker to provide additional support to clients, performing welfare checks & attending community activities with clients
•Advocating for a client during appointments and with other services, i.e. housing or doctor’s appointments
•Signposting to services, activities and groups as required.
•Take part in regular supervision and support
• Regularly attend volunteer meetings and attend training as and when required
•To work within agreed professional boundaries at all times.

The role would suit:
•Someone who is friendly, kind, empathetic, non-judgemental and willing to learn. This role requires a regular commitment (to be agreed between the volunteer and a coordinator).
•Ability to maintain confidentiality.
•Knowledge and understanding of human trafficking issues or willingness to learn.
•An understanding of the importance of professional boundaries in the role.
Volunteers must be over the age of 18.
