Medaille Trust contributed to this important call for evidence based on our experiences as a First Responder agency and our work providing survivor support services. Our submission focused on the need to ensure that potential victims receive consistent and trauma-informed support throughout the referral and support phases. We want to see consistent, accurate decision making made with expertise and sufficient wraparound support that allows for people to recover. We await with interest to see how the findings of this consultation are reflected in forthcoming legislation on modern slavery.
