Medaille Trust’s North Fundraising Walk Covers 10 Miles in Blackpool

On Sunday 18 October, supporters of Medaille Trust took part in the North Fundraising Walk in Blackpool, walking approximately 10 miles along the promenade to raise awareness of modern slavery and support the charity’s work with survivors.

The walk brought together Medaille Trust, the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Office and Lancashire Police, highlighting the importance of partnership working in tackling modern slavery and exploitation.

The Medaille Trust Modern Slavery Freedom Bus was also present, helping raise awareness of modern slavery and the support available to those affected.

Fundraising activities like this help Medaille Trust continue its work supporting survivors as they rebuild their lives and move towards a future free from exploitation.

Reflecting on the day, Jamie our Director of Police and Justice Partnerships said:

“I would like to thank everyone from Medaille Trust, Sion Hall from PLASP, Jenny from Lancashire Police, and all the other walkers who attended the walk celebrating Medaille Trust’s 20th anniversary and made the day so special. Thank you also to the Boat Club and Jen’s parents, who provided food and drinks after we completed the 10 miles.”

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the walk and all those who helped make it possible. Your support helps us continue standing alongside survivors of modern slavery and working towards a safer future for all.
