New Safe House in Liverpool Featured in The Tablet

Medaille Trust’s new safe house for survivors of modern slavery in Liverpool has been featured in The Tablet, highlighting its vital role in supporting those recovering from exploitation.

The facility was officially opened by Archbishop John Sherrington, who described it as a place offering “dignity” and “true sanctuary” for survivors. It will accommodate up to 18 male residents, providing safe housing alongside access to specialist support, including healthcare, legal guidance and dedicated caseworkers.

The article also draws attention to the growing scale of modern slavery in the UK, with record numbers of potential victims identified in recent years, underlining the urgent need for safe and supportive accommodation.

Medaille Trust continues to play a key role in responding to this need, supporting hundreds of survivors each year through its network of safe houses and services across the UK and internationally.
