Medaille Trust’s new safe house in Liverpool has been featured in Independent Catholic News, highlighting the vital support it will provide to survivors of modern slavery.
The facility was officially opened by the Archbishop of Liverpool, John Sherrington, who blessed the house and met with staff. It will accommodate up to 18 male survivors, offering safe housing alongside trauma-informed care, healthcare, legal support, and pathways to independent living.
The feature draws attention to the growing need for safe accommodation for survivors across the UK, and the important role services like this play in offering safety, dignity, and hope.
The Liverpool safe house has been made possible through the support of The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation and the Sisters of the Poor Servants of the Mother of God.
